It is my pleasure to be able to write this President’s message and continue to serve the membership of the BCGSA. It is also an honour to be named President, and I look forward to the challenges ahead.

The BCGSA has gone through a lot of changes since I joined the Provincial Board in 2019. Even with what is going on in the world today, I am looking forward to a less chaotic couple of years. This doesn’t mean we stop working. This means we can focus on some of the things that have been put on the backburner, including a review of our bylaws with our Governance Committee. We have also created a Website / Communications Committee to help with the website, Super News and other communications.

The BCGSA Board is proud to launch our new website. Thank you to Brett, Jenn and the Website Committee for their work on this. Also thank you to the members who provided pictures and videos for content on the website. The website will provide a number of benefits to our members and industry partners. We encourage everyone to explore the new website, and we welcome all feedback as we are still putting the final touches on it. Thank you for your patience as we made the transition from the old website to the new website.

I would like to thank Past President Brett Finlayson for his time, dedication and vision for the BCGSA. I look forward to continuing to work with him over the next two years. I would also like to thank outgoing Past President Warren Blue for his nine years on the Board. Both Brett and Warren have led the BCGSA through some challenging times over their tenures as President, and the BCGSA is in a better place because of them.
